We met online and had our first date on August 24, 2018, at Waterside in Norfolk, Virginia. From the very beginning, there was a spark. Shawn’s first impression of me was “oh she’s sexy,” 🥰 while I couldn’t help but notice how handsome he was and how much I loved his style. It might have been love at first sight, but over time, our connection deepened into something truly special.

One of the sweetest moments early in our relationship was when I asked Shawn to take me to a dental appointment to have my wisdom teeth pulled - I walked out of the dentist’s office with a mouth full of cotton and half conscience - lol, but Shawn stayed with me all day and night, taking care of me. That moment showed me the kind of love and support I could always count on with him.

Shawn proposed on December 1, 2024, at Orion’s Rooftop in Virginia Beach. It was the most magical and unforgettable moment! We had talked about marriage before and knew we had found forever in each other, but Shawn’s proposal was still a complete surprise that melted my heart.

Our favorite moments together are often the simplest ones—nights in with music, laughter, and just enjoying each other’s company. We’ve built our bond on a foundation of friendship and mutual love during significant transitions in our lives. This unique connection has shaped us into who we are as a couple today.

We’re so excited about our wedding day, especially being able to share our love and commitment with our closest friends and family. Our love story is worth celebrating, and this day represents the journey we’ve taken together. Our wedding will reflect our down-to-earth nature combined with our love for life’s finer things.

As we look ahead, we’re excited to keep building our future—purchasing our forever home, becoming puppy parents, traveling, and being pillars of support for our family.
